Bulgaria Meeting

The fourth international meeting, according to Turkish,Polish,Romanian and Portuguese students, was unforgettable experience, thanks which, they could develop their English and communicating skills all the time. It was mainly because they were accommodated in native families separately. The families themselves, were very supportive, kind and helpful. They showed our pupils the real daily life in Bulgaria in a very hospitable way.

All the participants of the meeting were taking part in many trips around the Pavlikeni town during their stay. We visited some famous museums e.g. the museum of the old school and we did much of the sightseeing in Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanasi. One of the best surprise was the light and music show on the ruins of an old castle in Veliko Tarnovo. However, the most important for the project are the activities which are directly connected to it and such activities were also provided. The perfect example of that was the visit in the prosperous meat company set by the young and entrepreneur couple.

According to the assumptions of the project, all the countries presented traditional dances from their regions. Students’ task was also do prepare the so called auto-presentation. Students in their choice of the original solution to the problems of daily life have found ways to and solutions shared by all participants.

We all took part in the workshops that helped us to develop our manual skills as well as creativity. Teachers discussed the problems and future plans of the project during the coordinators’ meeting. Traditionally, we visited the Town Hall and met the local authorities, who acquainted us with the most important information about the town and region we were staying in. During the numerous activities at school, teachers had a chance to see a perfect planned English lesson and students participated in some of the regular lessons.
